This is the beginning of a new adventure in the world of blogging. We are attempting to take our friends along with us on our many journeys. We have been fulltiming in our Montana 3400RL 5th wheel since June 2005. The beginnings of this blog will be a learning process and hopefully I will catch on soon. You can teach this old dog new tricks!!

We left Samish Island on Thursday Sept. 27th for Portland, OR. We set up at the Jantzen Beach RV Park and settled in for the week. We are now getting used to the airplane sounds (in the flight path of Portland International) and the tugboats tooting. Jantzen Beach is on an island in the middle of the Columbia River. We spent Friday through Sunday attending a priesthood retreat at the Community of Christ Church in Portland. It is the mission center offices for the Greater Pacific NW- USA Mission Center. The president of our church and his wife were in attendance, Steve and Kathi Veazey. It was a very uplifting experience. Also in attendance were many old friends who we hadn't seen for many years. Our looks may have changed but our friendships haven't.

Coming from a rural setting to a large city setting is quite an awakening. It reaffirms our desire to stay in a rural area.
